Tales from my trails
Every walk has a story, and these are mine. Some of the routes below I've already walked, every blister and breathtaking view included. Others are still on my list, waiting for the right pair of boots and a free week. Click on any walk to follow along, day by day.
After walking all the way to Rome, I knew the journey had changed me, and I wanted to capture it. So I decided to write about it as a memoir. Once I started, the words kept coming, and that one book turned into two. I'm now about to publish Left Foot, Right Foot and Back on the Road. They're proof that every big adventure starts with one small step, and that it's never too late to take it.
And the story isn't over. My third book will come from my most ambitious challenge yet: Walking the Lines of London, over 1,300km in 79 days, following every Tube and National Rail line in the capital, all while raising money for an epilepsy charity.
If you’d like to join me on a walk one day, please get in touch. And if you know a trail you’d recommend, or you’re planning a walk of your own, I’d love to hear about it. I might even come along, or add it to my list!
